Is Stripe available in Bangladesh?
No. Bangladesh does not appear on Stripe's country page in any tier — not supported, not preview, and not the extended network that covers Nigeria, Ghana and Kenya. That is a cleaner answer than most countries get, and it is still not the whole picture.
What Stripe offers Bangladesh
Verified July 28, 2026
Bangladesh is absent from Stripe's published country list entirely. A Bangladeshi-incorporated company cannot hold a Stripe account.
The Paystack-backed extended network covers 5 markets — Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Côte d'Ivoire and South Africa. Bangladesh is not among them.
Stripe supports US businesses with an EIN through ordinary self-serve signup. This is the route Bangladeshi founders use — but read the foreign-exchange note below before you start.
Serves Bangladesh for receiving international payments. A receiving account, not a card-acquiring processor — it will not run your checkout.
Provider country policies change without public notice — Mercury revised its prohibited list in 2024 and has amended it since. Treat this page as a starting point that was accurate on the date shown, then check the provider's own page before you apply. We would rather you verify us than trust us on something this consequential.
Absent from the list is different from restricted
Some countries sit in an awkward middle tier: Stripe lists India and Indonesia as preview, and lists Nigeria and Kenya under the extended network, which really means Paystack. Bangladesh is in neither category. It simply is not there. For a founder that is oddly useful information — there is no waitlist to join and no partial product to evaluate, so the question collapses to whether you form a company somewhere Stripe does serve.
What a US LLC actually gets you
A US LLC with an EIN can sign up for Stripe through the normal self-serve flow, which means Billing for subscriptions, Checkout, Connect for marketplaces, and the full card coverage a SaaS pricing page assumes. Stripe lists more than 45 countries where businesses can register directly, and the United States is one of them. A Wyoming filing costs $100 in state fee with $60 a year to keep it active; Bangladesh Bank's governing statute here is the Foreign Exchange Regulation Act of 1947. This is the reason most Bangladeshi SaaS and agency founders look at a US entity at all — the company is the means, Stripe is usually the objective.
The foreign-exchange question you must resolve first
Bangladesh Bank's Guidelines for Foreign Exchange Transactions work by enumerating permitted transactions, and they contain no chapter permitting ordinary residents to invest abroad — the volume covers borrowing abroad by residents, but not investing abroad. Outward investment has generally been approved only for established exporting companies, case by case. We could not obtain a first-hand reading of the current circulars, so we will not tell you either that this is fine or that it is prohibited. We will tell you that it is unresolved, that it is the single most consequential thing on this page, and that you should put it to a Bangladeshi lawyer or your bank's foreign-exchange desk before you spend money with us or anyone else.
Why we are saying this out loud
No competitor selling into Bangladesh raises this, and raising it plainly costs us sales. We would still rather lose the order than take payment from a founder who later discovers their structure sits on the wrong side of a rule nobody mentioned. If your adviser confirms your position, the rest of this page applies as written.
Worth knowing before you buy
Stripe's country coverage changes without notice, and so do Bangladesh Bank's circulars. This page was accurate on the date shown against Stripe's own country page and Bangladesh Bank's published guidelines. The foreign-exchange position above is explicitly unresolved on our side — treat it as a question to answer, not as a risk we have cleared for you.
Common questions
Can I use Stripe with a US LLC while living in Bangladesh?
Stripe supports US businesses with an EIN, and residency in Bangladesh does not appear in Stripe's own published restrictions the way it does for some banking providers. The harder constraint is not Stripe's rules but Bangladesh's foreign-exchange rules, which is why that section sits above this one.
Will Stripe come to Bangladesh?
We have no idea, and neither does anyone else publishing a guess. Stripe's page says more countries are coming without naming them or giving dates. Do not build a plan around a launch that has not been announced.
Is a US LLC enough, or do I need a US bank account too?
Stripe needs somewhere to pay out. That is the genuinely difficult part for Bangladeshi founders — Mercury's published prohibited list includes Bangladesh, so the usual first answer is closed. See our Bangladesh banking page for what is actually open.
Does RazorFile guarantee Stripe approval?
No, and treat any service that does as a warning sign. Stripe underwrites each account on its own terms and can decline or later close one. We can give you a correctly formed company and an EIN, which is what Stripe asks for; the decision stays theirs.
