What Doola does better
- Doola's bookkeeping and tax-filing products are genuinely more developed than ours. If you want formation and accounting from one vendor, they do that and we do not.
- Their country-guide library is the largest in the market at roughly 161 pages, and for many countries it is a useful free resource whether or not you buy from them.
- They are Y Combinator-backed with visible investor endorsements, which matters to some founders evaluating who will still exist in three years.
Stay with Doola if
You want bookkeeping, tax filing and formation bundled with one vendor and one invoice. Doola's Tax and Compliance and Business-in-a-Box tiers include services we simply do not offer, and stitching that together from separate providers is real work. If those are on your list, their higher price is buying something real.
Where the two differ
Recurring versus one-time is the main structural difference
Doola's Starter is $297 a year. RazorFile's formation fee is one-time, with a $149 annual renewal to keep the company in good standing. Over three years those look quite different, and which is better depends on whether you value bundled services or lower ongoing cost.
Their state pages are notably thin
We diffed Doola's Wyoming page against its Montana page: 3,949 shared tokens against 107 unique ones, and the unique tokens were almost entirely CSS artifacts. No Wyoming filing fee, no annual report fee, no processing time appears on the page. Every dollar figure is Doola's own pricing. If you are using their state pages for research, be aware they carry no state government data.
They have gaps in exactly the markets they target
Doola has no country page for Nigeria, Pakistan, Turkey or Vietnam — those URLs return 404. Those are four of the highest-intent non-resident markets. We built pages for all four, including the banking and Stripe positions specific to each.
If you are switching
There is no migration to perform — an LLC belongs to you, not to whoever filed it. If you already have a Doola-formed company you can move Registered Agent service to another provider at renewal and keep the entity. Switching mid-year usually means paying twice for overlapping agent coverage, so the natural moment is your renewal date.

Is RazorFile cheaper than Doola?
At the entry tier, on a one-time basis, yes — $249 including EIN guidance against $297 a year. But Doola's higher tiers include bookkeeping and tax filing that we do not offer at all, so past the formation step it stops being a like-for-like comparison. Compare what you actually need rather than headline prices.
Can I move my existing Doola LLC to RazorFile?
The company is yours regardless of who filed it. What you can move is ongoing service — Registered Agent, in particular — which is cleanest at your renewal date. There is no re-filing and no new EIN involved.
