Looking for a Firstbase alternative?
Firstbase charges $399 one-time with state filing fees included. RazorFile's Growth plan is $249 plus a $100 Wyoming fee. That is a $50 gap, not a chasm — the real differences are elsewhere.

What Firstbase does better
- Including state filing fees in the headline price is genuinely more honest presentation than the industry norm. You know what $399 means; with most vendors, including us, you have to add the state fee yourself.
- Expedited EIN is bundled into their formation price. We charge for EIN guidance at the Growth tier and above, and expedited handling is not part of our standard offering.
- They offer C-Corp formation alongside LLC. If you are raising US venture capital and need a Delaware C-Corp, we do not file those and they do.
Stay with Firstbase if
You need a Delaware C-Corp for US venture fundraising — we form LLCs, not C-Corps, so this is a straightforward case where Firstbase does something we cannot. Also stay if the bundled expedited EIN matters more to you than the $50 price difference, which for many founders it reasonably does.
Where the two differ
The price gap is smaller than it first looks
Firstbase Start is $399 with state fees included. RazorFile Growth is $249 plus a $100 Wyoming state fee, so $349 all-in. That is a $50 difference for a broadly comparable formation, and Firstbase throws in expedited EIN. We would rather you know that than discover it after buying.
Their country pages do not carry country-specific content
Firstbase publishes around 195 country-specific URLs. We looked at the India page: it says "from India" three times in headings, then reverts to "anywhere in the world" boilerplate for the body, with no India-specific tax, banking or remittance content. The page also carries no structured data at all. If you are using those pages for research rather than as a buying signal, they will not tell you much.
Registered agent is priced very differently
Firstbase's Agent Autopilot is $299 annually per state. Our Registered Agent add-on is $99/yr. For a single-state Wyoming LLC that is a meaningful recurring difference, though Agent Autopilot bundles compliance dashboards and annual report handling that our base service does not.
If you are switching
Your LLC is yours regardless of who filed it. Moving Registered Agent providers is the practical switch and is cleanest at renewal. If Firstbase formed a C-Corp for you, note that we do not service C-Corps — converting entity type is a separate legal exercise and not something to undertake casually.
Common questions
Is RazorFile cheaper than Firstbase?
Marginally at formation — $349 all-in against $399 — and more meaningfully on recurring Registered Agent, at $99/yr against $299/yr. But Firstbase includes expedited EIN in that $399 and offers C-Corp formation. Whether $50 matters more than expedited EIN is your call, not ours.
Can Firstbase form a C-Corp and you cannot?
Correct. Firstbase offers LLC and C-Corp formation; we form LLCs. If you are raising from US venture investors who require a Delaware C-Corp, that is a real reason to use them rather than us.
Are their country pages worth reading?
In our assessment, not for research. We looked at their India page and found country-specific mentions confined to headings, with generic body content and no structured data. That is a comment on the content, not on the service — plenty of good companies publish weak SEO pages.
